The Return

This game was made for the BYOG 2023 Game Jam!

This was an attempt at a story game, of a girl who returns to her homeland after war. Unfortunately, after being far away for so long, she is unable to speak the language of her home. She must now find and go through her old household belongings, trying to find meaning in things she once cherished without being able to read anything.

This was our interpretation of the secret language theme. A secret doesn't have to be something known to a few, but rather something that was known to many but forgotten with time. Our main character has forgotten her language. Hence it becomes a secret to her.
